ATCs 840 STACKER
Best Modder of Tower Mod Category

Owner : coolmiester
Location : United Kingdom
Chassis : ACTS 840

“At the start of this build there was very little in the retail case department to accommodate the EVGA SR-2 motherboard due to its unconventional size so it was clear from the get-go that not only was a larger case and motherboard tray needed to mount the board but also it was going to need some serious cooling so additional space was needed to mount the cooling hardware. The plan was to literally chop the top off a Coolermaster ATCs 840 and stack it on top of another which would give it approx. 5" (or three drive bays) extra height which could be used to store two 480 radiators, hence the name ATCs 840 STACKER. Also, high on the agenda was to make the three quite complicated watercooling loops look effortless and easy on the eye. My main aim was to regain the basic look of the 840 so a second look would be needed to work out just what was going on and an overall factory finish would be a must throughout.”

TRON Lightcycle PC
Best Modder of Scratch Build Category

Owner : Boddaker
Location : United States

“I love the TRON movies, and when the new movie came out, I just had to build a PC based on the new Lightcycle design. It would have to be a custom build, so a lot of time was spent in a 3D program, trying to fit the necessary components while keeping the relative size down. The main parts were laser cut from acrylic, providing a solid foundation from which to fabricate other parts such as the front and rear fenders. So far, this has been a fun and rewarding project. Enjoy!”

USS EURISKO - Intrepid Mark II Class
Honorary Second Place Winner of Scratch Build Category

Owner : ASPHIAX
Location : Netherlands

“As a big SciFi fan I always watched Star Trek Voyager and wondered how cool it would be to have a PC that looked like the Voyager. So I descided to build it! I am totally hooked on watercooling so that was an easy choice. It will feature remote controlled electromotors that can move the wings up and down and the Phaser banks (beamweapons) will be fitted with leds and lasers. It is constructed of XPS foam, Glassfiber/Epoxy, Depron and Epoxy Clay. There's tons more details but you will have to check the buildlog. Thanks for watching and dont forget to vote for the USS EURISKO!”

PC-Reforged
Third Place Winner of Scratch Build Category

Owner : Abbas-IT
Location : Germany

“With this Case I have tried my best to pay tribute the two letters that have changed the world. ‘P’ and ‘C’. ‘PC-Reforged’ is the result of ca. 4 months of work and many mind boggling hours of geometric hurdles. Getting the geometry right was the biggest challenge with this case. I literally forced myself into this case form just to see if I could make it.”

Sors Salutis
Third Place Winner of Scratch Build Category

Owner : AnG3L
Location : Cyprus

“The idea behind this mod, was to create something different than the regular box shaped case. Also it had to be composed by 2 different compartments, one for the radiators and one for the main hardware. Those compartments had to be removable for easier transfer and assembly. The main materials used for this mod is acrylic and wood. The artistic painting techniques I used are 5 in total and the main colors are white, red and black. Those techniques are invented by me and it took me several years to achieve maximum perfection and durability. The name Sors Salutis is inspired by the song Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.”
